Support for Scientific Organizations and Events

Bristol-Myers Squibb Research and Development considers requests for charitable donations to support scientific conferences and educational and charitable events.  Areas of support include: biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical development, clinical research, regulatory sciences, and enabling technologies. Please note that educational activities with planned discussion of safety/efficacy information should be submitted as Independent Medical Education (IME).  In order to be eligible for a charitable donation, a United States applicant must be a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service.

Please allow at least six (6) weeks for the processing of your completed application. Applications submitted less than six (6) weeks prior to an event may be rejected as a result of insufficient time for review.  Applications may also be rejected if they are incomplete.

Requests for charitable donations from Bristol-Myers Squibb Research and Development must be made in connection with a general fundraising effort by the requesting organization, rather than a request directed only to Bristol-Myers Squibb.  Support may not be tied, in any way, to past, present, or future prescribing, purchasing, or recommending (including formulary recommendations) of any drug.  Any evidence that suggests that the support or request for support is tied, in any way, to past, present, or future prescribing or recommending of any drug will cause the request to be rejected, and the request may not be resubmitted.

Before you start the submission process, please be sure to have the following information available:

  1. Federal Tax ID number for your organization (US Only)
  2. Organization information
  3. Activity information (including, if applicable, speaker names and affiliations, agenda, program objectives, location and date of event)
  4. Valid e-mail address for communications
  5. A list of your organization’s Board of Directors and Executive Officers
